Buildings have extensive direct and indirect impacts on the environment. During its construction, occupancy, and demolition, buildings use energy, water, and raw materials, generate waste, and emit potentially harmful atmospheric emissions. These facts have prompted the creation of green building standards, certifications, and rating systems aimed at mitigating the impact of buildings on the natural environment through sustainable design. 

One of Griya Idola's projects, Wisma Barito Pacific II has been selected as green building certified, by three essential aspects, glass window, lighting, and water. WBP II glass window has a cooling effect by cutting heat gain to 25% in reducing the glasshouse effect of global warming. The usage of LED lighting enabled us to save more energy, and 70% of water usage from personal water processing mechanisms (WTP) allows us to reduce soil water exploitation. These three aspects give significant contributions to the environment, in addition to elevating its tenant's reputation.
