It has been a year since Covid-19 pandemic infected millions and impacted every aspect of society. Tourism is no exception in dealing with this pandemic, including the hospitality business that is far from returning to its normal since its declining number of leisure travelling and business meetings held in the hotel. This impact is happening globally across Indonesia, especially in Anyer, a well-known city for its tourism. The problem raised some Indonesian government concern in finding the best solution to revive tourism in the homeland. It originated an idea to launch the CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment) national certification program from the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) for all hospitality businesses in Indonesia as a warranty to the health and safety standard in the new normal.
Mambruk Hotel & Convention is CHSE new normal certified by Kemenparekraf with 98/10 points. The inspection is completed by Nurul Chandra Purnama as Sucofindo auditor on Sunday, 15 November 2020, focusing on the hotel management, the human resources' readiness, and the guest's participation in implementing the new normal.
On another occasion, the head of youth, sport & tourism in the Serang area, Hamdani, appreciated the consistency of the health protocol's implementation in Mambruk Hotel & Convention. He recognized the pandemic's impact drastically hit the tourism industry and the region's revenue, which decreased up to 50%. If the tourism industry is back, it will make a significant contribution to the region's revenue.
"We appreciate the Covid-19 health protocol's implementation in Hotel Mambruk, and we will merge it into the execution," said Hamdani.
The program, held since the quarter end of 2020, is supported by proficient auditors and verifier through various training held by Kemenparekraf, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Covid-19 special task force. The certification program is expected to standardized guidelines in bringing convenience into the tourist's visitation to Indonesia's tourism site.
